Integrating Business Systems by Using the JMS Adapter Process Integration XI

The following documentation describes an integration scenario in which the business system, which is connected to the Integration Server by means of the JMS adapter, takes on the role of either a sender system or a receiver system, or both.

Use

Many external or legacy systems are already connected to messaging systems such as SonicMQ. Using the JMS adapter, you can connect to messaging systems to enable data to be exchanged between such systems. For more information about configuring the JMS adapter, see: JMS Adapter

Description

An external or legacy system is connected to the Integration Engine by means of a JMS provider (for example, SonicMQ), and the JMS adapter. The JMS adapter exchanges JMS messages with the JMS messaging system. The JMS adapter receives a message from the JMS provider and forwards it to the Integration Engine to be processed further. It is assumed that the JMS message is already in XML format.

To be able to forward a message to an external receiver system, the JMS adapter receives the message from the Integration Engine and then sends it to the JMS provider.

Example

Your business systems are already connected to a messaging system. To connect these systems to the Integration Server, connect to the messaging system by using the JMS adapter.
