SAP Integrating Smaller Business Partners and Subsidiaries

The following documentation describes how you can use the Partner Connectivity Kit (PCK) to connect smaller business partners or subsidiaries that do not have SAP NetWeaver, to the Integration Server.

Use

You use the PCK to connect a business system environment of a smaller business partner or subsidiary to the Integration Server of a system landscape integrated by means of SAP NetWeaver. The PCK enables messages to be exchanged with the business system landscape of the smaller business partner or subsidiary.

Description

The PCK of the smaller business partner/subsidiary receives a message from its system landscape and converts the format of the message to XI message protocol. The message is forwarded to the Integration Server for further processing.

To forward XML messages from the Integration Server to a receiver business system in the system landscape of the smaller business partner or subsidiary, the PCK of the business partner receives the message, converts it into the format required by the receiver system, and then forwards the message. The PCK contains the following adapters:

· RFC Adapter

· File Adapter

· JMS Adapter

· JDBC Adapter

· SOAP Adapter

· SAP Business Connector Adapter

· Mail Adapter

· XI Adapter

This graphic is explained in the accompanying text

Example

An SAP business system needs to send a message to a smaller business partner/subsidiary.

· The message is sent in XI message protocol from the Integration Server to the PCK.

· The PCK uses the file adapter to convert the XI message format to the format of the connected business system of the smaller business partner/subsidiary.

· The PCK sends the file to the business system.
